We’re Sarah and James. It all started when we built our own garden sauna. What began as a love of outdoor living soon became our favourite place to switch off - no screens, no distractions, just time to slow down and reconnect.
That feeling inspired The Steamy Pheasant - handcrafted wood-fired saunas designed to bring those same moments to extraordinary places across the UK.

Every Steamy Pheasant sauna is thoughtfully designed by us and handcrafted on the Dorset - Wiltshire border using locally sourced cedar from Fonthill Abbey Estate. Every sauna is built with longevity, character and practicality in mind. We don’t build from kits or follow templates. Each one is thoughtfully designed to perform beautifully, travel effortlessly and create memorable experiences wherever it goes.
